This Sunday will be my last among you as your Minister in Residence. These two months have been rich and meaningful for me. I've treasured our time together.

We will hear yet another reading about the patriarch Abraham, with this passage perhaps the most well-known of them all. I will resist yet another sermon on Abraham, and instead offer this reflection on the Gospel: How are we welcomed? How do we offer welcome to others? And: How does God welcome us?
